Alan Patrick – Founder and CXO
Alan Patrick has been involved with enterprise grade systems and networks for several decades, and has worked for and with a wide range of industries, in many countries. He has held board and senior management roles in a number of major technology corporates and high technology startups, as well as consulting for McKinsey and Deloitte’s/PWC. He has also been an interim MD/CEO a number of times, to turn around and transform high tech businesses. For the last 10 or so years he has been increasingly been working with Social technologies, and recent experience in using them in areas like customer service, internal operational efficiancy and lean operations convinced him that it was time to form a specialist business to address the area - and so co-founded The Agile Elephant
Janet Parkinson – Founder and CXO
Janet Parkinson has over 20 years experience working at Operations Director level within the social technology, social business and global communications industries. As UK Head of Operations for Quirk eMarketing she worked with clients providing online marketing, social media and reputation management and monitoring services before joining the Smart Work Company which provides experiential learning programmes for business leaders in new ways of working. For over 10 years Janet was Operations Director for a leading international language and recruitment consultancy assisting FTSE 100 companies based worldwide to source and build teams from the global talent pool. She is also an Occasional Lecturer at the University of Arts London providing ‘Professional Skills for Employment’ training for students. Janet’s passion has always been the global nature of business, people and cultures and how technology is impacting upon the world of work - cofounding Agile Elephant was a natural progression.
David Terrar – Founder & CXO
David combines more than 30 years of business management, operations, sales and marketing know-how with 10 years of practical experience working with social media to advise companies on digital strategy and deploying new technologies. He is a regular speaker at Cloud and Social Business events. He spent 9 years at IBM and then worked in management and director roles for companies like Interactive, CSI, Cyberaid, Brook Street Computers, DataWorks, Indus and CODA. Although his history is rooted in traditional enterprise software he is passionate about the simultaneous big shift to cloud computing, mobile devices and social media, how these technologies can be deployed to transform business and the way these trends are changing the world of work.
